My Story

I was born in Los Angeles and lived there for the first half of my life, then moved to Taiwan for middle and high school. My family is from Hong Kong, so I grew up with a little bit of all three places. In Taiwan, I went to the International Bilingual School at Hsinchu Science Park, where I somehow ended up joining everything, from robotics and emceeing to musical theater. Some of my favorite memories are from teaching English with our student club, and I have always liked finding small ways to help out in whatever community I am in. Looking back, I am really glad I said yes to so much.

I came to NYU Tandon to study civil engineering, but I switched into Integrated Design and Media, with a minor in Technology, Management and Design, because I wanted to keep building things while also making them look good and easy to use. Growing up, I have always loved making things and trying out new tools, and when I do not know how something works, I like to keep learning until I figure it out. These days you will probably find me switching between code, my sketchbook, the sewing machine and the kitchen, working on whatever I want to make next.
